The First team travelled to face Wellington in the Western League
Torpoint Athletic got back to winning ways on a heavy pitch in Somerset on Saturday afternoon with both goals being scored in the second half by Elliot Crawford from the penalty spot and Kevin McCallion in stoppage time. Meanwhile the hosts ended the match nine men when Mark Cornish and Nathan Byrne while both shown their marching orders.
The hosts started the match the brightest of the teams when on the sixth minute Jack Bryant well struck volley was well saved by visiting keeper Ryan Rickard. Seven minutes later, Gary Hird for Torpoint latches on to the ball and breaks clear of The Tangerines defence, he cuts into the area but home keeper Jake Viney blocks his effort from 15 yards, then on the quarter hour mark an Elliot Crawford free kick on the edge of the area flashes past the far post. Four minutes later Hird beaks clear again for Viney to block his effort. In the reminder of the first half the visitors have more half chances but fail to break down their hosts. Four minutes into the second half Torpoint’s Joe Rapson is brought down in the area by Mark Cornish, who is shown a red card. The referee points to the penalty spot, with Elliot Craword coolly firing home the penalty to put the visitors in front. Just past the half hour mark, Joe Rapson for the visitors is played into the area, his effort from 12 yards rebounds off the post, then five minute later Jake Quick for the hosts has a shot from 18 yards which is well saved by Rickard. On the 72nd minute Hird runs clear into the area, his shot is parried by Viney, Hird gets the loose ball, fires the ball home but the goal is disallowed for a foul in the area. On the 84th minute Hird takes a fantastic run from the half way line and cuts into the area, his shot is block by Viney. Three minutes later it went from bad to worse for the hosts when Nathan Byrne is shown a straight red card for an elbow to Mike Lucas. In the third minute of injury time Torpoint secured the crucial three points when Kev McCallion is played into the area for him to fire home into the top right corner of the net.

The Second team returned to the Mill to entertain Saltash Borough in the St Piran League. The travelling opponents came out convincing victors with a 4-0 win. Goals from Henry Bunning, Shay McCarthy and Dan Alford sealed the points.
